Deerfield continued their home game winning stretch in a strong showing against Williston. Despite having a shorter bench than normal with five key players injured, the team persevered and came out strong. Within the first several minutes of the game, Deerfield hammered home a few beautiful goals. Three were by Kikka Guidici (’20), while Ellia Chiang (’21) netted two as well. Emily Stonestreet (’19) also brought home two nice goals. The Deerfield team came out strong in the second half, working on communication, offensive drives, midfield pressure, and great passing. There was a strong positive presence from our bench as well. Morgan Moriarty (’22) had some nice crosses, while Dev Trice (’21) and Bella Geraci (’19) had some great ball possession in the midfield. As the seconds ticked down and our game was over, the varsity game across the field also finished their game at a win. All in all- a great day for Deerfield girls’ soccer.
