On Saturday, October 13th, the boys junior B soccer team hosted the Eaglebrook School on family weekend for a 2 pm kick-off. The day was initially cold and rainy, but it cleared up nicely by game time and conditions were perfect. After missing several good chances, Deerfield scored a last-minute goal to salvage a 1-1 draw. Eaglebrook opened the scoring in the 19th minute to take a 1-0 lead, which held up into half-time. In the 44th minute, Matt Fiero ’22 appeared to score the equalizer, but it was eventually ruled offside. Deerfield kept pressing and Yurok Song ’22 scored a beautiful goal just 4 minutes from full time. The team’s record now stands at 3-2-2 and they’ll get another shot at the same Eaglebrook team on the road on October 20th at 2:30 pm.
