The Deerfield’s Boys Varsity Swim & Dive Team emerged victorious in an exciting meet against Choate on Saturday. With thirty-two season best times, the boys showed they were ready to swim fast against a competitive team. An amazing home crowd rallied the team from the beginning to the end of the meet and encouraged top swims. The team as a whole swam to a high standard but a few highlights included: Young Hur’s remarkable return to competition; John O’Loughlin’s strong finishes in his 100 Free and 100 Back to earn best times and critical points for the team; and Mason Zhao’s impressive displays as anchor in both the 200 and 400 Free Relay. Finally, JJ Siritantikorn and Justin Tang achieved season best times in the 100 Breast, placed 1st and 3rd respectively, and cemented Deerfield’s win going into the final relay. The team swims NMH away on Wednesday. Many thanks to our supporters!
