Despite out-shooting NMH 20-5 over the final two periods, we simply couldn’t find the back of the net on the road this afternoon. Penalties were another Achilles heel today, as they disrupted our flow and allowed our opponents to gain momentum. NMH opened the scoring with 8 minutes left in the game on the power play, and doubled their lead when a forward slipped in alone behind our defense. We pulled within one with about two minutes to go, as Mae Emerson ‘19 banged home a loose puck (assist to Elizabeth Hernberg ‘18), but we couldn’t find the equalizer. A frustrating loss for sure, and we’ll need to make sure we come out strong against Exeter on Saturday. Thank you to Mr. Skillman for the chocolate milk, and Mrs. Emerson for the yummy snacks after the game.
