Girls Varsity Hockey made the long trek to Pottstown, PA to take on the Hill School. We played a good first period, and finally converted when Elizabeth Hernberg ‘18 scored on the penalty kill off of a strong forecheck by Mae Emerson ‘19. We found ourselves in the penalty box for most of the second period, but Christina Halloran ‘20 scored on a rebound from a Mary Edmonds ‘19 shot (second assist to Erin DeMarco ‘19), and then Edmonds rounded out the scoring with a goal of her own. The third period was sloppy, but Jordan Manning ‘19 made a few good saves to preserve the shutout. Many thanks to the Fujiyoshi’s for the drinks after the game, and to all the family and friends who made the effort to see us play today. We’ll continue our swing down South with an 11am match up against Lawrenceville tomorrow.
