JV girls hockey vs Choate Sat 1/20: WON 9-0. This amazing team took the chant “BEAT CHOATE” to heart. Solid skating and team play right out of the gate put the Big Green on the board early and often. Goals in the first period from Meredith Heaney (2), Tierney Roche, Hannah Roche and Katie Whalen put us in a position to play keep away for much of the remainder of the game. Sportsmanship at its utmost after an own goal from Choate in the second with only one more DA goal made by Regan Hoar (first of the season for her!). Two more goals in the third by Maggie Roche and Ellie Shilling to cement our domination. We will give Choate credit for giving us some good competition, but our goalie, Hollin Hanau, made significant saves to keep Choate off the board. Great team and great fun to beat our rival this week!
