Basketball, Girls: Varsity loses to Worcester Academy

Event Details

Deerfield traveled to Worcester Academy for our second matchup up the season, and fell to the Hilltoppers 38-63.  Deerfield was down several players due to injury and illness, including both of our centers, Melissa Mitrovic and Claire Cummings, so we had no one to match up against Worcester’s star forward, the 6’3” Aliyah Boston.  Deerfield was held to just 5 points for most of the first half, but made an 11-point surge in the final minutes of the half.  In the second half, Deerfield focused on their own game, finishing solidly with even scoring on ends of the court.  Emma Reavis led Deerfield with 14 points, 13 rebounds, and 4 assists, while Erin Tudryn added 11 points.  Boston scored 13 points, pulled down 14 rebounds, and blocked 5 shots for Worcester.
