Deerfield traveled to the Taft School in Watertown, CT on Wednesday and battled in a tough game against a disciplined and consistent opponent. Though Deerfield did not prevail, they kept the game close, entering halftime down only two points. In the second half, Deerfield suffered a scoring dry spell, and Taft hit the offensive boards hard, often scoring on a second or third attempt. Emma Reavis played a strong all-around game, leading Deerfield with 18 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals, while forwards Imani Kindness-Coleman and Claire Cummings added 7 points and 7 rebounds each. Kayla Robinson was a game-changer on the boards for Taft with an impressive 20 rebounds and 16 points.
