Deerfield earned a great come from behind win on Wednesday on their home court against Williston-Northampton. At the half, Deerfield was down by 2 points, but they came out in the second half with fire and determination. Through tenacious defense and poise on the free throw line, Deerfield built up a 14-point lead headed into the final three minutes of the game. The team played smart in the final minutes to end the contest 46-36. Freshman forward Claire Cummings stepped up in the post and led Deerfield with 16 points, while Tess Mannix came off the bench in the second half with skilled ball-handling and persistent defense. Emma Reavis had another excellent all-around game with 9 points, 9 rebounds and 3 steals.
