On Saturday, January 20th, the boys thirds basketball team won on the road at the Eagle Hill School 45-32 to run their record to 3-4 on the season. Deerfield jumped out to a 17-2 lead and maintained that margin until the middle of the second half, when Eagle Hill when on a run to cut the lead to 7, at 32-25. Deerfield hit most of their free throws as well as some clutch shots to increase the lead to double digits again and close out the game. Scoring was balanced, with Henry Renelus ’20 and Darrel Dartey ’20 sharing the lead with 8 points and Topjor Tsultrim ’18 contributing 7. The boys thirds team will be back in action at home on January 24th at home against Loomis, looking to even their record at .500.
