The Deerfield varsity girls traveled to Northfield Mount Hermon on Monday to play a chilly evening match. Deerfield delivered a decisive 9-0 victory over the NMH squad to improve to 5-3 on the season. Ashley Manning and Tori Waterfall closed points efficiently at the net and won at first doubles 8-1. Gillian O’Connor and Mimi Delisser continued to develop as a doubles team and won their doubles match 8-3. New pairing, Esme Benjamin and Catalina Llorente defeated their NMH opponents 8-3. The singles matches all went for Deerfield. Catalina Llorente registered a win in her first Deerfield start, beating her opponent 6-1, 6-1. The team now looks to a home match with Longmeadow on Wednesday.
