Rowing, Girls: Varsity defeats Choate, Gunnery, and Taft

Event Details

On Saturday, the girls traveled to Lake Waramaug State Park in CT to race Choate, Gunnery, and Miss Porters for their last race before the NEIRA Championships.  With flat conditions and sunny skies, it was a perfect day for racing.  The 1st boat had another solid row, continuing their winning streak and bringing home the A.C. Allen Cup for first place in the G1 race.  The 2nd boat finished ahead of Gunnery and MPS but couldn’t quite run down a speedy-starting Choate crew.  The 3rd boat also finished 2nd behind Choate but put up a great fight and had their best row of the season.  They crossed the line just 4 seconds behind Choate in a tight race.  The 4th boat was also challenged by Choate and finished in 2nd place.  Overall, it was an exciting day of racing and we look forward to a great week of practice in preparation for the Championship on Saturday!
