Rowing, Boys: Varsity defeats Middlesex and Nobles

The Boys Rowing Team traveled to Billerica, MA on Saturday to line up against strong crews from Middlesex School and Nobles. After a great afternoon of racing, all six Deerfield boats returned to campus having crossed the line first. In the 3V, 4V, 5V, and 6V, each Deerfield boat put together a strong race and secured their wins by at least 10 seconds over the 2nd place boats from Nobles. The racing was quite a bit tighter in the 1V and 2V with Nobles showing great speed off the line. Fortunately, the crews from Deerfield were able to work their way back into the race and pull out close wins in the closing meters.

All crews will travel to Lake Waramaug next weekend for our last regular season race against the Gunnery School and Choate Rosemary Hall.
