Late Score Costs Deerfield Academy Against Loomis Chaffee School

Deerfield Academy JV lost the lead late in a 5-4 defeat to Loomis Chaffee School on Friday. The game was tied at four with Loomis Chaffee School batting in the top of the eighth when there was an error, scoring one run.

Deerfield took an early lead in the first inning. An error scored one run for the Big Green. Loomis Chaffee School knotted the game up at four in the top of the fifth inning. The Pelicans scored three runs in the fifth inning.

Henry Renelus took the loss for Deerfield. He pitched eight innings, allowing five runs, eight hits, striking out four, and walking zero.

Levi Constant led Deerfield with two hits in four at bats.
