The Big Green JV Grabs Lead In Fifth Inning For Victory Over Cardigan Mountain School
The JV baseball team took the lead late in the game in a 7-1 victory over Cardigan Mountain School on Wednesday. The game was tied at one with Deerfield batting in the top of the fifth when Levi Constant singled off, driving in one run. The Big Green secured the victory thanks to four runs in the fifth inning. The team scored on a single by Levi Constant, a double , and a single by Luke Terry.
Constant earned the win for Deerfield. He pitched seven innings, giving up one run, three hits, and striking out three.
Constant, Miles Menafee, Will Shuhda, Matthew Gardner, and Terry all had one hit to lead Deerfield. Terry led Deerfield Academy Big Green JV with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with seven stolen bases.
