The Big Green lost to a tough Taft team on Saturday afternoon in Deerfield. Trailing 1-0 through most of the game, Deerfield played solid defense to keep the game tight. The Taft bats came alive in the top of the 7th, scoring 4 runs to bring the score to 5-0.
Deerfield combined for 8 hits, but they were unable to push a run across the plate in the loss.
The Big Green looks to bounce back on the road at Ethel Walker on Wednesday.
