Deerfield Academy took the late lead and defeated Worcester Academy 9-5 on Wednesday afternoon. The Big Green bats were silent until the top of the 5th inning when Shelby Scarborough’s 12 pitch at bat ignited Deerfield’s rally. With two base runners on, Aurora Deveraux ’20 hit a double to left center field, driving in 2 runs to start the scoring for the Big Green.

Senior Captains Shai Lineberry and Shelby Scarborough combined for 4 RBI in the win. Ireland Misseau ’17 continued her lights-out performance on the mound, striking out 7 of the Rams’ batters.

Deerfield looks to continue their hot streak this Saturday, April 15th with a road trip to Choate. We smell bacon!
