Varsity softball evened their season at 1-1 with a 10-4 win over Miss Porter’s School on Saturday afternoon. The game was an early back-and-forth affair complete with strong hitting from both clubs.

Up 5-4 in the bottom of the 6th inning, the Big Green’s bats came alive to score 5 runs off of multiple hits. Hioe ’20, O’Brien ’18, Miessau ’17, and Quesnelle ’19 all had hits in the 6th, with Shelby Scarborough ’17 belting a 2-run homer to highlight the inning.

Deerfield hosts Stoneleigh-Burnham on Monday, April 10. First pitch at 4:15.
