On a cold and blustery Saturday afternoon, the Big Green traveled to the Charles River in Boston to face perennial powerhouse and league rival Belmont Hill in a scrimmage. The top two 8+’s from both schools raced six three and a half minute pieces with the Deerfield 1st 8+ splitting the racing evenly with Belmont Hill, and the 2nd 8+ winning two of the six. Both Deerfield crews ended the day with strong performances and overall, the team showed exciting potential and resolve as they look to start the regular season on Saturday, April 22.
