Deerfield’s top four 4+’s traveled to Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, MA for a chilly day of racing under grey skies. A light tailwind and flat water made for great racing conditions and the boys made the most of the opportunities. Lining up against strong opponents in Brooks, St. Mark’s School, and Vermont Academy, all four boy’s crews managed to cross the line first, setting a positive tone for the coming racing season. Deerfield will look to continue to find speed in practice back home in the Pioneer Valley this week, and next weekend, all DA rowers will face Pomfret, Groton, and Taft at Pomfet.
