The Deerfield Baseball team traveled to Tabor Academy for a conference twin bill on Saturday, April 22. Unfortunately, Tabor swept the Big Green by scores of 7-1 and 5-1. The losses put Deerfield at 2-3 in conference play and 2-5 overall. In Game #1, Deerfield took a 1-0 lead behind a strong pitching performance by Dylan Presnal. The game was a dogfight into the 6th inning when Tabor posted 4 runs after Presnal left the game. Game #2 followed a similar pattern. With the score knotted at 1-1 in the 3rd, Tabor scored 3 to make it 4-1. Deerfield simply could not get the offense untracked despite several hard hit balls. The team heads to Choate on Wednesday, April 26th, and returns home for a doubleheader against Exeter next weekend, April 29.
