Renelus Throws Shutout As Deerfield Defeats Cushing Academy

Henry Renelus didn’t allow a single run as Deerfield defeated Cushing Academy 12-0 on Wednesday. Renelus allowed just three hits and induced a double-play from Sing to end the game. An early lead helped propel Deerfield Academy Big Green JV to victory.

The team scored on a groundout by Sameer Sharma, a single , and a passed ball in the first inning.

Deerfield scored four runs in the fourth inning. The big inning was driven by a single by Levi Constant, a stolen base , and a single.

Henry Renelus earned the win for Deerfield Academy Big Green JV. He tossed five innings, giving up zero runs, three hits, striking out three, and walking zero.

Miles Menafee and Matthew Gardner each drove in two runs. The Big Green tore up the base paths, as four players stole at least two bases. Will Shuhda led the way with four.
