The JV squad headed east on Route 2 to exact a little revenge from last year’s 0-7 crushing defeat at the hands of the Groton Zebras. This year’s JV squad is a bit deeper than last year’s in spite of the team’s relative youth. The boys played hard and although a few dropped early games to a strong Groton crew, five of the boys rallied for the win. The final 5-2 victory was a great result for the Deerfield squad who will now prepare for Saturday’s tilt against the Williston Wildcats of Easthampton.
