Deerfield lost in a close contest in their first home game of the season against local rival Northfield Mount Hermon. While Deerfield went into halftime with a 2 point lead, the final minutes came down to free throws, with Northfield icing several keys shots from the line to seal a victory. Silke Milliman from NMH led all players in scoring with 26 points, while Emma Reavis and Kelly Lahart contributed 11 points each for Deerfield. Imani Kindness-Coleman played hard on the basket, pulling down 9 rebounds and putting in 7 points.
