Deerfield and Loomis went toe-to-toe in the Big Green’s first home game in front of a raucous crowd. Back and forth for most of the day, Deerfield held a one-point lead with four minutes to play, before a few untimely turnovers and a couple of big shots turned the tide for Loomis. Bennett Pitcher led the way with 16 points on 58% shooting from the field. Nick Osarenren set the tone defensively with five blocked shots and two steals to go along with his 12 points. Marios Bourtzonis chipped in 11 points and 4 assists.
