Deerfield hit the court for a Class-A tilt at Nobles after just one practice as a varsity squad. The team played hard and took a positive step toward developing the chemistry and organization needed for success down the road. Captain Nick Osarenren led the way with 19 points including two monster dunks in transition. Making his debut as a freshman, Bennett Pitcher added 13 points, all in the second half. Steady play from Captain Colman Shea, junior forward Jackson Pitcher, and postgraduate point guard Marios Bourtzonis helped keep Deerfield within 3 points of a strong Nobles squad with under four minutes to play, before the home team stretched out the lead to secure the win.
