This weekend was Fall Family Weekend at Deerfield. Playing in a gym filled with family and energy is always fun, and we would like to thank everyone who made it out to our game!
Deerfield was missing a few of our key players but put up a decent fight against a very strong Exeter team. Tough hitting and tougher serving led Exeter to quick wins in the first two sets. In the third set Deerfield stepped it up, and played a much closer game. Better passing led to the creation of an offense and Deerfield held the lead for much of the set. A final run by Exeter pushed them to a 25-21 win, but the Big Green fought all the way to the end.
Deerfield is finishing up the season with a tough schedule, with Amherst High and Andover coming up later this week. Then we get a chance to play both NMH and St. Paul’s again as we attempt some revenge!
