Soccer, Boys: Junior Varsity defeats St. Paul’s

Event Details

A rich, humid afternoon visit to Concord, NH for the inaugural game of the new rivalry with the great St. Paul’s school invigorated the boys JV soccer to bring their best game. SAT tests did not dissuade the team from arriving ready to play and Coach Mohammad had the test takers on site ready to go with plenty of time. The game showed our team’s best complete effort to date with plenty of goals and the still stingy defense; various combinations of players had the chance to show what they could do against a game and well organized St. Paul’s group. Today Deerfield had the better day and probably the senior leadership was a big factor. A legitimate hat trick gave goalie Yektai the chance to play some forward himself; the team had movement, determination, and effectiveness all in synch. A good day.
