In front of a supportive crowd and inspired by Punisa’s crooning, the Deerfield Academy JV Hockey team took on Choate. The Choate team was gracious enough to make the drive north on a Friday to accommodate our Alumni Weekend schedule. The game had a good pace to it, and the Deerfield squad was fortunate to come out on top 1-0. The game winner came in the second period when Scott Danforth tipped home a shot from the point by Eamon McNamara. The team played well front to back and Andrew Peck recorded the shutout in another superb effort in goal. We travel to Cushing this Wednesday for another traditionally challenging game.
