Thirds basketball had another good day today, playing well as a team on both sides of the floor. We faced Eagle Hill for the second time this season, hoping to keep improving as a team and repeat our earlier victory. We started the game well, playing solid team defense, helping through picks and not allowing much in transition, but Eagle Hill was able to hit some key 3 pointers to stay within reach. We also got a little sloppy at times on offense, making some forced and unforced turnovers. We went into the half time up 31 – 17, but feeling like we needed to kick it up a notch to achieve the victory and play our best as a team. We took to our job well in the second half, allowing only 11 points in the final 16 minutes, and cruising to a 62 – 28 win. Everyone got good playing time and everyone scored. Raheme Taylor ’20 made the biggest splash with two 3 pointers, but everyone made solid contributions. Dylan Bane ’20, Carter Hampson and Josh Fang ’19 each had 10 points on the day, but it was Henry Renelus who led all scorers with 12, including two three pointers.
