The boys thirds basketball team got back into the win column on Wednesday against Cushing. We jumped out to an early lead with some solid defensive efforts leading to transition buckets on the other end. Although we enjoyed some early success, Cushing fought back and we went into the halftime break up 26 – 14. Things stayed close for the first part of the second half, but eventually our consistent team effort on defense allowed us to open up the score again and we ended the game with a 46 – 26 victory, but the game felt much closer for much of the contest. It was another solid team effort with 10 of 11 players scoring and everyone getting good playing time. A special highlight of the day was the return of Raheme Taylor to the lineup after several weeks of being out. Carter Hampson ’20 led all scorers with 11 points. Josh Fang ’19 and Sim Bethel ‘ 20 had strong games on both ends of the floor, rebounding and transitioning well.
