On September 28th, the JV boys soccer team traveled to Watertown, CT to play against a strong Taft team. Although Deerfield made a few forays into the Taft goal area, the first half largely belonged to Taft. In the second half, Deerfield attacked and defended more effectively, and narrowly missed getting the game winner. Alex Wong ‘18 and Conrad Freire ’18 both had excellent chances to score, but were unable to convert. Although both teams benefited from strong play from their backs and goalkeepers, both teams also saw shots ricochet off their own goal frames. A 0-0 tie seemed like a fitting result.
