Swimming and Diving, Boys: Varsity defeats Milton

Event Details

The varsity boys opened their season with a win over Milton at home on Saturday afternoon. Both captains were in the water for the first leg of the first relay event to lead the team into the ’16-’17 campaign. Will Hrabchak ’17 was on two winning relays and finished first in the 500 free, and Bobby Meyer ’17 notched two new lifetime bests. He won the 50 free and finished 2nd in the 100 breast. Topping the team with four victories was Shaun Kronenwetter ’19, who earned a win in the 100 free and had a spot on all three winning relays. Although Milton took three individual events, the remaining nine events were won by Deerfield athletes. Additional winners were Jeffrey Sun ’17 (200 IM), Simon Lam ’19 (100 back), and Julian O’Donnell ’18 on the diving board. The boys tallied 22 new personal bests on their way to a 96 – 77 final score.
