On Wednesday, the Big Green girls hit the road again for their second squash match of the season against Milton Academy. And once again, the core of the lineup – Maddie Chai at #3, Mimi deLisser at #4, Harbour Woodward at #5 and Emily Henderson at #6 – proved unstoppable and won 3-0 victories. At #7, Soo-Min Lee, after losing her first game 12-14, rallied to take the next three games for a 3-1 win. At #2, Ashley Manning battled back and forth with her opponent in front of a rowdy Mustang crowd, and after falling behind in games 1-2, finished up strong and won her match in the exciting fifth game. Cameron Munn at #1 faced off against Raneem El Torky, a finalist in last year’s Division 1 New England Championship. Despite Cameron’s valiant play, Raneem won 3-0, saving Milton from a Deerfield shut out. The varsity girls hope to keep the momentum going on Saturday when the Nobles Bulldogs make their way to the Dewey Squash Center.
