Deerfield nearly scored on the opening shift against KES and never looked back, dominating the play and possession throughout the game. Unfortunately, there seemed to be an invisible wall across the KES goal line that we were unable to penetrate, and had to settle for a 0-0 tie. Aurora Devereaux ’20 and Brenna Hoar ’20 came millimeters away on several occasions, and most other forwards had excellent opportunities as well. Livi Messina ’17 and the rest of the defense continued to put pucks on goal, but the KES goalie stood tall, and was particularly adept at thwarting second and third attempts in close. Not the result we wanted, but an improved overall effort from our morning game.
