Girls JV Ice Hockey hosted NMH Saturday afternoon to open the season for both teams. DA came out flying and registered three goals in the first five minutes. Strong play by centers Katie Whalen ’18, Annie Ilsley ’18 and Katie Morse ’17 led the attack and created multiple scoring opportunities, resulting in a commanding 7 goal lead halfway into the game. The team focused on strong defense the rest of the way, led by blueliners Tierney Roche ’18, Cornelia Mackay ’19 and Maggie Roche ’20. The final score was DA 9, NMH 1.
