Deerfield visited Simsbury for a spirited game with Westminster in front of their raucous home crowd. Tentative out of the of gate, the Deerfield squad lost control of the game’s tempo and found itself down by 9 at the half. The struggles continued at the beginning of the second half, as Westminster stretched its lead to a seemingly insurmountable 22 points. With grit and determination, Deerfield launched a frenzied comeback with timely 3-point shooting from Jackson Pitcher, Kaleb Robinson and Jackson Mannix. Billy Lahart and Will Santos fueled the defensive effort by creating turnovers and rushed shots through full-court pressure. The team pulled within six points with four minutes to play. Unfortunately, the comeback bid faded in the final minutes as Westminster secured a 60-51 win.
