On a beautiful fall Sunday, Deerfield played GA in what was arguably one of our best showings of the season. The girls started the game with incredibly high energy and great communication, and proved to the Gators that they were not going to back down for one second. Play in the first half was back and forth, and both teams had three corner opportunities. GA was able to capitalize on one of these about 15 minutes into the game, and for the rest of the game DA fought to tie it up. The majority of the second half was controlled by Deerfield, and the defense did a stellar job in holding the Gators to no shots and no corners. Unfortunately, however, there wasn’t enough time on the clock for us to find the back of the net. All in all, the girls played with an amazing amount of heart and drive, and every member of the team both on and off the field contributed to the great energy felt by all.
