On a rainy Wednesday afternoon, Deerfield traveled to Williston for a competitive match. Deerfield put the pressure on early but was not able to convert until midway through the first half. Meredith Heaney ’19 fired a shot on net and Tierney Roche ’18 tipped it into the back of the cage. Deerfield had many more opportunities second half but a strong defensive effort by Williston kept the game at 1-0. Christina Halloran ’20 played well defensively for the Big Green and Ali Fujiyoshi ’19, Heaney, and Anya Shevzov-Zebrun ’17 played well in the midfield.
