Girls Varsity Soccer was hosted by Northfield Mount Hermon on Wednesday. Deerfield opened the game at a fast pace and a number of offensive chances. NMH scored first, but junior Ali Dougal scored off a header soon after to tie the game at 1. NMH scored again, but Deerfield tied the game once more in the second half. This goal came off another header from junior Brenna Hoar. With the game tied at 2, the green began to pour on the offensive pressure late in the second half. The girls brought a ton of energy and worked hard for some great chances. It paid off with only seconds to go in the game, when co-captain Jacqueline Minor scored a beautiful goal from deep which won the game. It was a very impressive win for Deerfield in which the girls demonstrated an exceptional amount of energy and resilience. FINAL: Deerfield 3, NMH 2
