Depleted Deerfield Squad Falls to Kent at Home
On a wet Saturday afternoon, a big green team that was without five players due to a variety of different injuries fell to a talented Kent squad that was relentless up top. After a fairly even start to the game that saw DA provide the best scoring opportunity with a great cross from Zach Davis ’20 meeting the head of Spencer Rosen ’18 and going just wide of the goal, Kent would pull ahead shortly after and not look back. About twenty minutes into the half, a speedy Kent striker made his way down the right flank and buried the ball into the back of the net. Kent would extend their lead by scoring three goals in the final ten minutes of the half and adding another two minutes into the second frame. Not all was lost however, as Young Gun Lee ’18 scored his second goal of the season on a free kick from the sideline. The big green do not have a game until next Saturday when they host Avon Old Farms at 3:00 PM.
