Soccer, Boys: Junior Varsity ties Kent

Event Details

On October 1st, Deerfield’s JV played against a strong, athletic Kent team. Although the first half ended without any goals scored, both teams brought the heat in the second half.  DA scored three back-to-back goals in an impressive display of offensive skill and strength. After an own goal by Kent, Tyler Kelly found Nolan Zusi on a skillful through ball, and Nolan found the upper right on one of the best goals we’ve seen this season.  Soon after, Alex Wong (assisted by Conrad Freire) extended the Deerfield lead.  DA could not hold on, however, and surrendered three quick goals to a determined Kent team.  Both teams had chances to get the game winner as time ran down, yet neither side was able to convert. After two consecutive ties, DA is eager to get back in the win column this Saturday against Wilbraham & Monson.
