On a cool, damp day, Deerfield’s JV took the field against a skillful, determined Andover team and came away with a well-deserved 1-0 win. Despite seasonal conditions, Deerfield possessed the ball well and generated a number of good opportunities, finding the back of the net midway through the second half. In the right place at the right time, Liam Holowesko tapped in a ball served in from the left flank by Jared Harrington. For the remainder of the game, Deerfield dropped in to defend, led once again by Iqbal Nurjadin and Austin Philie at center back, and Mason Horton at midfield. Will Dale and Gideon Yektai tuned in another strong performance in goal. A great team win for the Big Green!
