My son, Cole ’15, and I are pictured here after I landed our ski plane at the top of Mt. Susitna near Anchorage for a little spring skiing. The mountain behind us in the close up walking photo is Mt. Spur, an active volcano that last erupted in 1992 covering Anchorage in ash. The large mountain behind us in picture 4 is Denali, also known as Mt. McKinley, North America’s tallest mountain. My friend who took the photos also flew his ski plane in so that we could leave one plane at the bottom and ferry back to the airplane left on the top of the mountain after skiing down. We have a big playground up here. And it sure beats standing in lift lines!
