Passing of one of Deerfield’s sons

Thomas Dudley Bloomer, class of 1949, passed away Saturday, July 8th 2017 in his home in Skaneateles, NY surrounded by his beloved wife and family. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Arlene Bloomer, sons Jim (’79), David (’84) and Tom Jr (’98), daughter Alison, and nine loving grandkids. Classmates of Tom will speak to his dedication for Deerfield Academy, during which time he played in his first lacrosse game, which became his lifelong passion.

Tom served as Class and Reunion Chair for many years. He loved to make the trip to the Pocumtuck Valley, and also down to Florida to help coach the Boy’s Lacrosse Team during their spring trip.
