“After 50 years in the tennis industry, the last eleven as CEO of the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA), I announced my retirement at the end of December, 2023. I am looking forward to playing the third set of my life and saying “yes” to doing things that I have previously had to say “no” to because of my work. I have been blessed to make a career out of a sport that I have played since I was 6 years old. Few people can say that. My wife, Dagmar, and I will remain outside of Orlando for the time being and look forward to playing more golf, some competitive age group tennis, and travel while my health is still good.” – John Embree ’71
