To my surprise I was contacted by a person at Caltech (I went off to there to learn science)
contacted me and asked for an interview (why me??).

I have done other things since then. My wife Ilse and I now live in London
which has been, off and on, our home for many years.
My last contact with the US was as a faculty member in the Infomation
Systems Lab at Stanford, which was fun while it lasted…
