Robert Perkins, who died in January 2024, taught French at Deerfield for 25 years, starting in September of 1968. He ended his tenure at Deerfield as Chair of the Language Department. He coached the water polo team, chaperoned the rec skiers weekly to Berkshire East, and organized the legendary February trips with Stoneleigh-Burnham School to Quebec Carnival.
