Conference Room (2130)

If screen is black, tap screen to wake up
Tap Green Power Button in center of screen to turn on system
When screen appears asking Will you be using a video source?, tap the red X if NO; tap green if YES
If you tap YES, a screen will appear asking which media source is being used:

  • Floor HDMI (wired – HDMI cable coming from center floor box)
  • Front Wall HDMI (wired – input below screen)
  • Apple TV (wireless)
  • Blu Ray (inside AV closet)

Floor HDMI or Front Wall HDMI (MacBooks and newer Windows Laptops)

  • To project using HDMI, select Floor HDMI or Front Wall HDMI on the touch panel
  • Plug HDMI cable into laptop
    • If using a MacBook, use attached adapter
    • If using a Windows laptop, remove adapter or use adapter depending on type of video ports on laptop
  • To adjust volume, use slider on touch panel screen for most recently selected source. Volume level may also be adjusted via application.
  • When done,
    • Unplug HDMI cable from laptop
    • Go to the touch panel and tap Options, then tap System Power

NOTE:  When using an HDMI connection for first time a change to audio settings will need to be made on MacBook.  This only needs to done once for this connection. While connected to HDMI cable:

Click on Apple menu and select System Preferences
Select Sound
Select Output tab
From list displayed under Select a device for sound output:, select Crestron (Type will read HDMI)
Close Sound window
MacBook will remember this setting

Wireless projection is available only through Apple TV.
MacBook must be running macOS 10.12.x (Sierra) or higher.
MacBook must be connected to GreenDoor.

  • To project to using Apple TV, select APPLE TV on the touch panel
  • When the Apple TV image appears on display, move on to next steps.
  • On your MacBook, click on the AirPlay icon in the menu bar at the top of the screen (looks like a rectangle with a solid black triangle sticking into the bottom)
  • Select the Apple TV being used (all Apple TV’s are named by room)
  • Enter the 4-digit projected code on your computer to connect to the Apple TV
  • The desktop image should now be projected
  • To adjust volume, use the slider on touch panel screen for most recently selected source. Volume level may also be adjusted via application.
  • When done, be sure to disconnect from the Apple TV so the next person in the room can connect.
    • Select the AirPlay icon
    • Select Turn Mirroring Off
    • Go to the touch panel and tap Options, then tap System Power
  • Select BluRay on touch panel.  
  • Press Open/Close button on remote and insert disc (bluray player is located in av closet).  Press Open/Close button to close disc drawer.
  • Use touch panel to access menu functions and viewing options (Play, FF, Rewind).  To adjust volume, use slider on touch panel screen.
  • When done:
    • Press Open/Close button on remote to remove disc
    • Go to the touch panel and tap Options, then tap System Power

Crew Tank Room (2110)

  • If necessary, open panel covering audio controls
  • Make sure indicator light A (MUSIC) is lit
    • If not, gently press volume knob to switch from B to A
  • Open BlueTooth on phone or other device
    • Each device is different.  Please consult the instructions for your device on how to access the BlueTooth features.
    • iOS Users ONLY: If you see the BlueTooth Connection on your iOS screen, click on the next to it.  If Disconnect is listed, tap it; then tap Forget This Device.  If Disconnect is not listed, just tap Forget This Device.
  • Press the PAIR button on the wall panel.  Blue light will flash indicating it is ready to pair.
  • When location appears on device, press Connect on device to connect to BlueTooth receiver
  • Use Volume knob to raise/lower volume and/or use volume control on device
  • Need to charge device while playing music? Connect a charging cable to USB port in wall plate and device.
  • When done, go to BlueTooth settings on device and Disconnect from the BlueTooth player
    • Failure to disconnect can cause connection issues for next user

  • When done, disconnect microphone and return to storage.

East Gym

  • If necessary, open panel covering audio controls

Events Room (2100)

  • Plug one end of HDMI cable into Wall Port OR Floor Box port. Plug other end into laptop using video adapter if necessary
  • Press WALL HDMI or FLOOR BOX HDMI on the button panel to turn on Projector or switch input to laptop
  • Use Volume dial on button panel to raise/lower volume.  Volume level may also be adjusted in the application.
  • When done:
    • Unplug the HDMI cable from laptop and Wall/Floor Box and return to storage
    • Press PROJECTOR OFF on button panel.  A beep will sound when projector shuts down.

NOTE: When using an HDMI connection for the first time, a change to the audio settings will need to be made on MacBook.  This only needs to be done once.  While connected to the HDMI cable:

Click on the Apple menu (top left corner of menu bar and select Preferences
Select Sound
Select Output tab

    • Press Projector Off on button panel to turn off projector.  A beep will sound when projector turns off.
  • Press BlueTooth on button panel
  • Open BlueTooth on phone or other device

  • Press the PAIR button on the wall panel.  Blue light will flash indicating it is ready to pair.

After a media source has been selected, or if NO is tapped at the previous question, a screen will appear asking Will you be using microphones?  Tap red X if NO; tap green if YES.
If you tap YES, a screen will appear asking which microphone(s) is/are being used:

  • Wireless (Scorer’s Table)
  • Wired at Balcony (Floor box Left, Center, or Right)

Press the ARROW in the lower right corner when done selecting microphone. Adjust Microphone volume by using slider on touch panel screen.

Volume Slider only adjusts volume for selected device.  For example, if you select a music source, the volume slider only adjusts that volume.  Any other source being used stays at its chosen volume. To change the source being controlled, 

  • tap Mic Options and select the microphone location from the menu, OR
  • tap Music Options and select the music source from the menu

In addition to the overall volume setting, it is possible to set the volume of each row of speakers.  For quick changes, there are three preset volume settings based on differing needs/uses of the hockey rink.  To activate one of the presets:

  • Tap Options
  • Tap Zone Levels
  • Select Practice, Game, or Open Skate
  • If after selecting a preset the volume needs further adjustments, use the sliders under the preset buttons to adjust the volume for each row of speakers.  Pressing a preset will reset the sliders to their saved levels.
  • Tap Options and then System Power

Meeting Room (2218)

  • Plug HDMI cable with video adapter on tabletop into laptop
  • Press Power button on NEC remote to turn on flat panel
  • Press SOURCE button on NEC remote
  • Select HMDI 1
  • Audio is controlled via NEC remote and application
  • When done:
    • Unplug HDMI cable from the MacBook.
    • Press Power on NEC remotes

  • North & South ends of room have BlueTooth and Wired
  • East & West ends have Wired only

Connect device according to instructions below:

  • Open panel covering audio controls
  • Press On on button panel
  • Press North Bluetooth OR South Bluetooth on button panel
  • Open BlueTooth on phone or other device
    • Each device is different.  Please consult the instructions for your device on how to access the BlueTooth features.
    • iOS Users ONLY: If you see the BlueTooth Connection on your iOS screen, click on the next to it.  If Disconnect is listed, tap it; then tap Forget This Device.  If Disconnect is not listed, just tap Forget This Device.

Spinning Room (2210)

Spinning Room 2210 is equipped with two flat panel displays.  A single source can be displayed to one flat panel or both.

HDMI or Rack HDMI (MacBooks and newer Windows Laptops)

  • To project to a single flat panel, press WALL HDMI1 or Rack HDMI in either Left or Right row depending on needs
  • To project to both flat panels, press WALL HDMI1 or RACK HDMI in both Left and Right rows
  • Plug HDMI cable into laptop
    • If using a MacBook, use attached adapter

  • To adjust volume, press Audio Left or Audio Right depending on needs. Use Volume dial on button panel to raise and lower speaker volume. Volume level may also be adjusted via application.

  • If you have difficulty connecting to BlueTooth player, gently press PAIR button for 5 seconds to clear any lingering connections
  • Press Wall Audio on button panel
  • Using an audio cable, connect device to wall port labeled IN ¾ B
  • Use Volume knob to raise/lower volume and/or use volume control on device
  • When done, disconnect the audio cable from wall and device.  Return cable to storage.
  • Press Audio Mute on button panel to mute audio on flat panel
  • Press Video Mute on button panel to mute video on flat panel

 

  • Select wireless microphone to be used
  • Turn on wireless microphone receiver in closet (Wireless Mic 1 or Wireless Mic 2)
  • Turn on wireless microphone transmitter via power switch
  • Press Wireless Mic 1 or Wireless Mic 2 on button panel
  • Use Volume knob on button panel to raise or lower speaker volume.
  • When done, turn off both microphone and microphone receiver. Put microphones away.
  • Press ALL OFF on button panel

Studio 1 (3110)

  • Plug HDMI cable into wall and end with video adapter into MacBook
  • Press Wall HDMI on the button panel to turn on projector or switch input to MacBook
  • Use Volume dial on button panel to raise/lower speaker volume and/or use Volume control in app
  • When done:
    • Unplug HDMI from MacBook.  Place HDMI cable in storage
    • Press Projector Off on button panel.  A beep will sound when projector shuts down.

NOTE: When using an HDMI connection for the first time, a change to the audio settings will need to be made on MacBook.  This only needs to be done once. While connected to HDMI cable:

Click on Apple menu (top left corner of menu bar) and select System Preferences
Select Sound
Select Output tab
From the list displayed under Select a device for sound output:, select Crestron (Type will read HDMI)
Close the Sound window
MacBook will remember this setting

Wireless projection is available through Apple TV.
MacBook must be running macOS 10.12.x (Sierra) or higher.

  • MacBook must be connected to GreenDoor
  • Press Apple TV on button panel.  When Apple TV image appears on screen, move on to next steps.
  • Click on the AirPlay icon in the menu bar at the top of the screen (looks like a rectangle with a solid black triangle sticking into the bottom)
  • Select the Apple TV being used (all Apple TV’s are named by room)
  • Enter 4 digit projected code on your computer to connect to the Apple TV

Shades are controlled by button panel on wall next to AV panel (interior windows) and next to the back door (exterior windows).

  • Press Close to close shades all the way
  • Press Preset 1 to close shades half way
  • Press Preset 2 to close shades ⅔ of the way
  • Press Preset 3 to close shades all the way
  • Press Open to open shades completely

Studio 2 (2120)

  • Plug HDMI cable into wall and end with video adapter into MacBook

Stoltzfus Room

Before connecting to an Apple TV, make sure iPad is connected to GreenDoor wireless network.
To ensure best signal quality in room, turn off wifi on iPad and then turn it back on.

  • Press Aux on button panel to turn on flat panel and change input. When Apple TV screen appears, move on to next steps.
  • Activate AirPlay on iPad **
    • Slide a finger up from bottom of screen
    • Select AirPlay icon (bottom center right – looks like a rectangle with a solid black triangle sticking into bottom)
  • Select classroom (all Apple TVs are named by room) and turn Mirroring On
  • iPad image should now be projected
    • If image does not appear, go back to AirPlay icon and turn Mirroring On.  In some cases, mirroring does not turn on.
  • Volume is controlled via the Volume dial on button panel and via volume toggle on iPad and within app

When done, be sure to disconnect iPad from Apple TV so next person in room can connect.

  • Go back to AirPlay on iPad
  • Select iPad to disconnect from Apple TV
  • Press Power on projector remote

** NOTE: To ensure reliable connectivity, iPad must be running iOS 10.x or later.  Please contact ITS Help Desk for upgrading assistance.

  • Turn on Blu-Ray Player by pressing power button on top left of player
  • To play
    • Blu-Ray or DVD:
      • Press Open/Close button on top right of player to open drawer and insert disc
      • Press Open/Close again to close drawer
    • SD Card:
      • Open trap door on front of player and insert card
  • Press BluRay on button panel to turn on display and change input
  • To navigate menus:
    • Use Up/Down/Left/Right arrow buttons on lower right corner of button panel
    • Use Center button to select
    • Menu button will bring up the disc/SD Card menu
    • Exit button will exit menu
  • To control play of disc/SD Card:
    • Use Play and Pause buttons to play video
    • Use Next and Previous buttons to move back and forth between chapters
    • Press & hold Next button to fast forward video
    • Press & hold Previous button to rewind video
  • Use Volume dial on button panel to raise and lower volume
  • When done,
    • Eject disc or SD Card
    • Turn off Blu-Ray Player by pressing power button on top left of player
    • Press Off on button panel to power down flat panel

Comcast HD service is available in this room.

  • Press Cable on button panel to turn on display and change input to cable box
  • Use Comcast remote (found in drawer of rack under flat panel) to change channel and view channel guide
  • Use Volume dial on button panel to raise and lower volume
  • When done,
    • Press Off on button panel to power down flat panel
  • If Comcast remote is missing, cable is still available by following these instructions:
    • Use Up/Down arrow buttons on lower right corner of button panel to change channels
    • Press Guide on button panel to access channel guide. Use Up/Down and Left/Right arrow buttons on lower right corner of button panel to navigate channel guide. Press Center circular button to select channel.
    • Press Menu on button panel to access cable menu. Use Up/Down and Left/Right arrow buttons on lower right corner of button panel to navigate channel guide. Press Center circular button to select.

 

All MacBooks and most Windows laptops use this option. This is the preferred method of wired projection.

  • Plug HDMI cable – found in rack drawer under flat panel – into HDMI port on front of rack and into device to be displayed
    • Video adapters are attached to cable for a variety of devices
  • Press HDMI on button panel to turn on flat panel and change input
  • Use Volume dial on button panel to raise and lower volume. Volume may also be adjusted via application.
  • When done,
    • Unplug the HDMI cable and return to rack drawer
    • Press Off on button panel to power down flat panel

NOTE:  When using an HDMI connection for first time, a change to audio settings will need to be made on MacBook.  This only needs to done once.  While connected to the HDMI cable:

  • Press VGA on button panel to turn on display and change input
  • Use Volume dial on button panel to raise and lower volume. Volume may also be adjusted via laptop and application.
  • When done,
    • Unplug VGA and audio cables and return to rack drawer
    • Press Off on button panel to power down flat panel

 

Wireless projection available through Apple TV in room.
If projecting an iPad, please go to Apple TV.
If projecting a MacBook Air,  it must be running macOS 12.x (Sierra) or higher.

  • MacBook Air must be connected GreenDoor
  • Press Aux on button panel.  When Apple TV screen appears, move to next steps
  • Click on AirPlay icon in menu bar at top of screen (looks like a rectangle with a solid black triangle sticking into bottom)
  • Select Apple TV being used (all Apple TV’s are named by room)
  • Desktop image should now be projected
  • Volume is controlled via the Volume dial on button panel as well as volume on laptop and in application
  • When done, be sure to disconnect from Apple TV so next user can connect
    • Select the AirPlay icon
    • Select Turn Mirroring Off
    • Press Power on projector remote
  • Plug RCA audio/video cables – found with camera or available from ITS – into RCA ports on front of rack and into device to be played
  • Press Video on button panel to turn on display and change input
  • Turn on device to be displayed
  • Use Volume dial to raise and lower volume. Volume may also be adjusted via device being displayed.
  • When done,
    • Turn off device
    • Disconnect cables
    • Press Off on button panel to power down flat panel
