Boyden Library is excited to kick off Deerfield Reads, a campus-wide invitation to the Deerfield community to rediscover the joy of reading!
The initiative launches with the Readathon hosted by Boyden Library on Saturday, February 14, from 6:30 – 10:00 pm. Bring a book from your TBR (to-be-read) list (or borrow one of the Library’s recommendations), find a cozy spot in our transformed Reading Room, and get to reading! Throughout the evening, there are optional reading goals to meet, prizes to earn, and snacks to enjoy! All participation is welcome, whether you decide to stay for the entire evening or just drop in for an hour!
The Deerfield Reads challenge will continue through March 31 with an ongoing reading challenge: For each book read, students may submit a brief book review to earn a raffle ticket! The grand prize for students will be a gift basket including a $50 gift certificate for books. Reviews will be shared in the Library as recommendations for others. All formats count (audiobooks, graphic novels, and e-books, too)! Pick up Book Reviews, Reading Bingo Cards, and suggested reading lists from the Library. Raffle winners will be announced on Friday, April 3.
